I'm not surprised that I have to make this post, I kind of expected this to happen to some degree, but safe to say that the PicoDay2024 game I had planned is not getting finished for the 18th.

To be fair, I've never even coded a game before so expecting to get a project of that scale (an admittedly small scale) that had no tutorials online for it's style of game done in, like, a week was definitely unreasonable, but I am still proud of how much progress I made with it.

Does this mean it's cancelled? No, I still plan on getting it done, just not for PicoDay, Instead, I'll most likely just make a piece of art for it or an animation since I'm familiar with that kind of stuff.

Before I end this post, I do want to thank user TrickWithATwist for their massive helping-hand with the code, I appreciate it a ton & will definitely be using it in the future to get this game done & possibly to just help myself get better as a developer in general, and also to my friend Cogwell who helped make the music for the game, trust me, you'll only understand how good the music he made for the game is when you hear it for yourself!
